Business Challenge
As part of its international growth strategy, dean&david Franchise entered the Czech market. However, the incumbent point-of-sale solution used in Germany could not be deployed due to local fiscal, regulatory, and operational requirements. In addition, dean&david aimed to support a modern omnichannel guest journey, including self-service kiosks, mobile app ordering, web ordering, and delivery aggregator integrations.
The challenge was to implement a compliant, scalable, cloud-based hospitality platform that would enable a fast market entry in the Czech Republic while also serving as a standardized foundation for future rollouts across multiple European markets.

In addition, Varyon integrated a third-party omnichannel ordering platform, enabling seamless order capture from self-service kiosks, mobile applications, web applications, and delivery aggregators. All digital and in-store transactions are centrally processed within Oracle Simphony, ensuring consistent operations, reporting, and fiscal compliance.
Implementation & Results
The Czech Republic served as the initial rollout market. Multiple structured lab test rounds were conducted to validate fiscal compliance, end-to-end order flows, kitchen operations, and reporting across all channels. This ensured the solution was fully market-ready prior to go-live.
From the outset, the Simphony gold build was designed as a multi-country hospitality template, already incorporating all prerequisites for deployment in additional European markets.
As a result, dean&david Franchise successfully launched operations in the Czech Republic with a scalable, omnichannel-enabled hospitality platform and established a future-proof foundation for international expansion.
